We Are Going to Worlds, Baby!
So stoked to have qualified and been invited to compete in the 2020 Centurion World Wakesurfing Championships!
We will be joined in representing Canada on the world stage by some other awesome East Kootenay riders including Caroline Villeneuve and Cassidy Boehm.
To qualify to be invited, riders must be ranked in the top eight in their division in the Competitive Wake Surfing Association world rankings. The event will feature 131 athletes from 11 countries competing in 17 different divisions. As a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Worlds will feature a combination of live and streamed rides, which were pre-recorded at sanctioned modules in six countries on three continents. The World Championships will feature the rides in a set order and be judged in the same manner whether they are live or pre-recorded competitors in each division.
Getting ready for Worlds!
The Centurion World Wakesurfing Championship kicks off October 1st in Fort Worth, Texas and runs over the course of three days.
