Dagen started in watersports at three years old on a homemade trainer board being pulled behind a 16-foot fishing boat. He was so small, the only helmet that fit him was a Lightning McQueen bike helmet.
By five years old, he was wakeboarding and entered his first competition the following year. His passion for wakeboarding continued to grow and in 2018, he started wakesurfing competitively as well.
