Canadian Nationals

A tale of two rides: the good, the bad and the ugly!

The Nautique Canadian Wakesurf Nationals was quite the experience! Held on the shores of Lake Chestermere, we got to camp on site and had the best time with everyone. The weather conditions weren’t the best and while Dagen had a great run and headed into finals in first place after Day 1, Ryder struggled in the choppy conditions and headed into the finals in second. Day 2 saw another strong run for Dagen. Ryder’s run ended early after a second fall early into his second pass. Evan Hudson put in a solid run in spite of the wind, and took first place, with Ryder second and stellar surfer Callum Bondy in third. It was a great weekend and a super well done event. Props to Isaac and Gabrielle Hockley and their army of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event so successful.

Also - a big shout out to all the sponsors of Canadian Nationals, including Phase 5! As Phase 5 team riders, it made us proud to represent them on the National Stage!
